When we considered offering Kit Carson's very popular aluminum M16 design in a more affordable build, we turned to our very successful InterFrame construction. Instead of aluminum handles, we use tough, textured Zytel scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner inter-frame. We over-build it for rigidity, using a 6061T6 hard anodized aluminum back spacer.
